History<\/h1><\/div>

Frank van Nuus studied to become a watchmaker and jeweler at “Vakschool Schoonhoven” and specialized in restoring mechanical, antique timepieces. In 1993 he opened his beautiful shop with studio on the Zuid-Willemsvaart in ‘s-Hertogenbosch. By accurate restoring and documenting many special clocks, he expanded his knowledge and skills enormously. He is completely familiar with the fine mechanics of a timepiece. \u201cWhat appears to be a large and bulky timepiece, is in fact so ingeniously manufactured that it requires precision to work to within 500th of a millimetre,\u201d says Frank van Nuus. \u201cAnd that is exactly what makes me feel comfortable.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Restoration<\/h1><\/div>

Restoration is craftsmanship, dedication and patience. Method<\/h1><\/div>

Before the clockmaker Frank van Nuus starts the restoration of a quality timepiece, he will study the imperfections of the clock and you will receive a price quote. When you give your approval, the restoration process starts. There may be a partial repair in which only the movement is repaired, but a total restoration can also be chosen. Under the supervision of Frank van Nuus, specialized craftsmen such as an enameller, ivory carver, furniture maker and gilder work together with him.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
